How to choose the battery,lead acid or Lithium iron Phosphate?

In the configurations of solar systems, batteries make up a big part of it. But many people find it difficult to choose which kind of batteries suitable for them.Let’s compare the two most use battery first.

Lead acid battery
There are a lot of kinds for lead acid battery, but we mostly sell AGM type sealed lead acid battery,which price is competitive and quality good. This is battery is maintenance-free, is a tried-and-true technology that costs less. The efficient for the AGM sealed lead acid battery is around 80%-85%.

Lithium Iron Phosphate battery(LiFePO4 battery)
Lithium batteries are more than 95% efficient,service life lasts about 2-4 times longer than lead-acid batteries,but price are nearly 3 times of lead acid battery.It can be fast charging and also maintenance-free,for the same capacity,the weight and size are much smaller than lead acid battery.

How to choose
If your solar system is for residencial and normal industrial use,battery is for back up and not use very frequency,the rated power for the system is not big,we suggest you using lead acid battery to save the cost. If the solar system is for very important places,use everyday or located in a remote area, maintenance is difficult,we will suggest you using lithium battery.

Of course,if you have enough money,do not care about the cost,we will suggest you using the lithium battery at any scene.
